“I’ve been a professional actor, director, and acting teacher in New York City for more than three decades.

As an actor, my years appearing at the country’s top theaters ultimately landed me on Broadway. Acting alone didn’t satisfy my creative hunger, though. I wanted to shape the entire story. And to offer my vision and understanding of the craft to an entire cast and company. So I began a second career, as a director.

But directing (and acting) kept me constantly on the road. And I wanted to start a family. I decided to commit to staying home in New York City, and to becoming a theater instructor.

I’ve taught and directed at the city’s finest drama schools: NYU’s  Graduate Acting Program (my alma mater); NYU’s New Studio on Broadway; Columbia University; The Stella Adler Studio; Fordham University; and the American Academy of Dramatic Arts.

And since 2014, I’ve had Actor’s Gym: my own private acting studio that I’m proud to say has grown into an established, wonderful, collaborative community.”
